Question: On more than on occasion, Vowell brings up that doom can bring people together. Is something that is so negative able to bring people together in a positive way?
Response: I think that it can go either way depending on the person and situation. From personal experience i feel that it can separate one from another but then eventually can bring each other together. When my brother passed away my family was completely separated and on different levels, we didn't communicate with one another. And if we did it would turn into arguments because we were all in a different state of mind and emotion. But eventually when we all controlled our emotions and figured out where we stood as an individual we became close again. And we are closer then we ever were before.
Doom can have many different outcomes depending on the situation. I think in that certain situations doom can tear people apart.
ReplyDeleteCarrie this is a good point. The way someone actis in negative situations truly depends on the person. You never know how someone will act till you are truly in that istuation
