Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol is an artist who I have always admired for his ability to take such simple objects, such as a Campbell's soup can, and turn them into art. I enjoy the simplicity of his work, while at the same time, his pop art is so vivid and bright. While I am aware that some people do not consider his soup can art, I think that if that is what he wanted to create, then he did so very well.

Andy Warhol was able to take basic items you would see on a daily basis, and transform them into works of art. I can relate to his style of transforming simplicity into beauty because when I am writing I will take a simple thought or experience and turn it into a funny or interesting story.

I think people might benefit from trying to understand Warhol's art because it displays a different take on modern art. Although many people do not consider modern art 'real' art, I still feel people should take into consideration the thought process or emotions that go into creating modern art. Personally, I think modern art and abstract art are both extremely important because they really make you think rather than just looking at a painting and knowing what it is and understanding it right away.
