As it is known, I' am a huge hip hop fan. In the city Of Chicago, there have been many great talents to have come from here. One in particular that I have been a fan of for a long time is a emcee from the south side of Chicago by the name of Common.
The emcee began his career back in 1992 with his debut album, Can I Borrow a Dollar. Throughout Common's career, he's had the chance of working with The Roots, J Dilla, Erkyah Badu, D'Angelo and even today's great hip hop producer Kanye West.
Reason behind why Common is considered one of my top listed artist is because Common has a great skill of lyricism. With a sense of complexity and poetic patterns, Common is truly define as a artist from the street life of Chicago as you may know it or even heard. You can benefit from this artist in means of understanding you can make it through a rough life and not fall into society's stereotypes. Even having a political ought with Bill O'Reilly, Common has shown that hip hop is a true essential form of art and is still considered in out generation. Common is not only known as a legend in the field of hip hop, but he is also known for taking a stand for the people, speaking up and utilizing his voice.
